North West Shelf Gas (NWSG) is an agency established by the North West Shelf Venture to market domestic gas to gas distribution/aggregation companies, electricity producers, major industrial customers and gas traders in Western Australia.

25 years of domestic gas production

In 2009 the North West Shelf Venture marked 25 years of safe and reliable domestic gas production.

Since 1989 the North West Shelf Venture has been Western Australia’s largest producer of domestic gas, providing energy that has fuelled the State’s commercial and industrial development.

The North West Shelf Venture currently provides about 65 per cent of Western Australia’s domestic gas production. Processed at the Karratha Gas Plant, domestic gas is delivered to customers in southern Western Australia via the 1600km Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.
